Driving along the Silverado Trail on Saturday afternoon, it was fun to see all the lavender blooming in gardens and along the roadside as the smell wafted through our van. The event? - a surprise birthday party for a lovely lady at Auberge du Soleil.
Auberge is perched on a hilside with a gorgeous view of the Napa Valley.
We were asked to make c o l o r f u l bouquets for a party with an east Indian theme. Yep, those are marigolds you see tucked in amongst the yarrow, zinnias, cosmos, celosia and peonies. All wrapped up in a sari.
